One course will be dedicated to pastured animal production, while the other will be focused on small scale processing. Experienced Prep Cook / Line Cook (Full-Time or Part-Time)
As a Line Cook, you would operate out of two food trucks that provide three menus: 1) A la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner; 2) Daily lunch line special for 50 guests a day (11am – 2pm); 3) Weekend limited, seasonal dinner menu highlighting farm proteins and seasonal garden produce. You will create a clean, safe work environment to serve a wide range of guests.
An ideal candidate will display integrity and have an appreciation of regenerative agriculture, farm staff, and farm environment, show excitement, appreciation, and the desire to highlight regeneratively raised protein and vegetables and be a team player who works with a purpose.
Requirements:
• Proven cooking experience including experience as a prep cook, and line cook
• Thorough knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques for high quality food ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long hours
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Garden Assistant
As a Garden Assistant you will work individually and with the Garden Manager to care for our on-farm vegetable garden and orchard. You will learn the ins and outs of how to grow vegetables using sustainable practices.
Typical tasks include but are not limited to the requirements below.
Requirements:
• Harvesting vegetables and fruit
• Washing and packing vegetables
• Performing no-till bed preparation
• Propagating seedlings
•Transplanting vegetables
• Maintaining vegetables (pruning, tying up, clipping up, etc.)
• Performing weed control – weeding, hoeing, weed eating, mowing -- and managing pests/disease as necessary
The ideal candidate:
• Must be self motivated and able to complete tasks without direct supervision
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Commissary Employee
As a Commissary Employee, your responsibilities will include producing, jarring, packing, and maintaining items. You will also be responsible for keeping products counted, organized, and inventoried. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth flow of product through the Commissary, confirming each item accurately and on time.
You will be required to pull and pack items after production, and organize them for shipment to either our Online Fulfillment Center (IFC) or our General Store.
Requirements:
• Will be required to work standing up all day; some days in the same spot for hours
• Must have reliable transportation as our hours vary according to the task we are working on
• Ideal schedule (8am-5/6pm) Monday thru Friday
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe
• Must be able to efficiently pack orders in a timely manner
• Must be able to perform additional tasks as necessary
• Must be organized and able to multitask
• Will be required to lift 50+ lbs daily
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Farm Maintenance
This position will coordinate, control, and monitor the maintenance functions of WOP for projects that move toward land, environmental stewardship, and community goals.

Hog and Poultry Field Crew Member I
The Role:
• Keep animals, equipment, and day-to-day farm operations moving safely and efficiently.
• Move livestock to fresh pasture, including hogs, laying hens, and turkeys.
• Transport animals to the processing plant.
• Connect, maneuver, and navigate trailers safely.
• Move feeders, scales, and other farm equipment as needed.
• Perform regular checks on tractors, mowers, trailers, trucks and other equipment.
• Clean trailers and perform basic equipment maintenance.Identify and communicate mechanical issues to the manager and farm mechanic.
• Manage wallows, irrigation issues, fencing, and infrastructure.
• Maintain and organize farm supplies.
• Distribute supplemental feed and assist with general farm projects.
• Assist in other areas of the farm as needed.

• Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable changing priorities throughout the day.
• Calm and respectful around livestock.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Hog and Poultry Field Crew Member II
The Role:
• Ensure hogs and poultry have consistent access to adequate feed and water.
• Prioritize feeding based on animal needs, feed levels, weather, and animal location.
• Monitor feed consumption and adjust feeder numbers as needed.
• Clean and unclog feeders and communicate when feed bins need replenishment.
• Monitor waterers, remove buildup, and address water-access issues.
• Monitor animal health, behavior, mortality, pregnancy, and feed competition.
• Identify animals that need to be moved.
• Report feral pigs.
• Monitor and maintain electric fencing, charger boxes, wallows, and shade.Record feed given, feed remaining, and fence charge.
• Provide an end-of-day update and maintain active communication with the farm team.
• Assist in other areas of the farm as needed.

Farrowing Crew Member
The Role:
• Care for sows, boars and piglets in White Oak Pastures’ farrowing operation.
• Monitor animal health, behavior, births, mortality, and culls.
• Wean and castrate piglets.
• Move sows and boars to fresh pasture regularly.
• Maintain water, bedding, fencing, farrowing structures, and equipment.
• Overseed bare ground and assist with pasture and land management.
• Keep accurate records and communicate observations and concerns to the manager.
• Assist in other areas of the farm as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
• Calm, respectful, and confident working with livestock.
• Proactive, observant, dependable, and a strong team player.
• Good communication skills and basic math/record-keeping ability.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets and a cell phone for farm communication.
