Pastured Pork

Hogs have been an important contributor to the dining table in Georgia since the first Europeans arrived in Savannah. Hogs were traditionally raised in the woods, as they are the ultimate forest creature. They were never meant to be raised on concrete, in cages or crates, and under florescent lights. Our hogs breed, gestate, farrow, and grow up in the woods. They are never kept in confinement. They eat what they find as they forage, plus peanuts that we give them, and the cracked eggs from our pastured hens. They are supplemented with non-GMO feed. Our hogs are a Step 5 in the Global Animal Partnership and Certified Humane. We raise heritage breeds: Tamworth, Berkshire, and Gloucester Old Spots. Eating our pork is a legendary historical culinary experience.
