A great deal of medical research has been done to establish the benefits of naturally raised grass fed beef. Ms. Jo Robinson has presented this material at her website www.eatwild.com. She has graciously given us permission to establish this link. We invite you to visit there. Here you will learn of the benefits of eating beef that is produced the way it was before modern factory farming changed raising cattle into an industrial production complex.

The way that we raise our cattle causes our beef to be healthy for you. The way that we process and market our beef makes it taste good. Most ground beef today, whether traditional, natural, or grassfed is ground from the "left-overs" after the higher value cuts have been removed.

Finally, our cattle are never grazed on public lands. They are raised by southern cattlemen on their own farms. These lands have been in the same families for generations and their production practices on these farms define sustainability and stewardship.

What's the Difference?

With all the different types of ground beef available today, you may be wondering what makes our product different from organic, other naturals or conventional beef. This question is fully answered in our FAQs.

Grassfed Beef is better because...

  • It is Safer
  • It is Healthier
  • It Tastes Better
  • It is "Certified Humane"
  • It is Environmentally Sustainable
  • It is Locally Produced by our 140 Year Old
    Family Farm

Because cattle evolved to graze on grasses and other forages...for thousands of years, but have only been fattened on grain concentrated diets since the 1940's...

  • We choose to allow our cattle to roam freely, as nature intended. We are committed to the humane treatment of our cattle.
  • Beef produced naturally on grass tastes better.
  • Grassfed beef is higher in beta carotene, vitamin E, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and omega 3 fatty acids. That is why it is healthier for you.
  • Cattle should not be forced to fatten on high grain feed concentrates in industrial feedlots. Our cattle are given no antibiotics and no hormone implants.
  • Grassfed cattle have a naturally alkaline rumen. This minimizes the possibility of E.coli O157:H7 contamination.
  • Our cattle thrive on a purely vegetarian diet that contains no animal byproducts. This further enhances your health and safety.  This virtually eliminates the opportunity for the spread of BSE or Mad Cow Disease.
  • Our beef is locally produced by our 140 year old Georgia family farm.
  • Pasture based agriculture is among the most environmentally friendly of the sustainable farming practices.
